Community Hospital of San Bernardino has compiled the following information to assist our patients and visitors. Should you need further assistance, please contact us at 909.887.6333.
Influenza Season Visitor Restrictions
Our community is currently experiencing widespread and severe flu illness. In order to reduce the risk of spreading flu to our visitors, patients, and staff, please read the enhanced visitor restrictions prior to your visit. If you have symptoms of illness please delay your visit until you are feeling better. For complete details, please read the visitor policy effective January 6 - April 30, 2014.
Visitors are a very important part of our patients' recovery and we welcome you. Here are a few guidelines:
General visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., but times may vary, so it is best to call ahead.
- To ensure that our patients are safe and receive the rest they need, we ask that all visitors obtain a visitors badge at the main entrance/lobby of the hospital (valid government identification may be required), and wear the badge at all times.
- Please keep in mind that in most cases there is a limit of two visitors per patient room.
- Doctor's permission is required for overnight stays.
- Guests who are ill themselves are asked to refrain from visiting.
IMPORTANT: Beginning October 28, 2009, only visitors 16 and older will be permitted to enter the hospital. All visitors are required to sanitize their hands before entering, and those with flu-like symptoms will be asked not to visit until they are well.
Children as Visitors
Due to the severe flu impacting our community, children under 16 are not allowed to visit. Click here for more information.
Visitors under the age of 16 are not allowed in any other department.
