Balloon Sinuplasty

Suffering from Chronic Sinus Problems?

If you're one of the 37 million Americans affected by sinusitis, and require more than medication to find relief, please call the hospital's referral line at 909.806.1552 to see if balloon sinuplasty can help. Board-certified otolaryngologists are now performing this minimally invasive, safe and proven procedure at Community Hospital of San Bernardino.

Often referred to as "angioplasty for the nose," a guide wire catheter equipped with a tiny balloon is inserted through the nostril to access blocked sinus passageways. When the balloon is inflated, the passageway is opened to restore normal sinus drainage and function. It may be particularly effective for patients who have had sinus problems diagnosed early and who are looking for relief from sinus pain, difficulty breathing and other issues associated with sinusitis.

This endoscopic procedure is performed under general anesthesia in an outpatient setting and requires no incisions, cutting or removal of bone.

Community Hospital of San Bernardino is one of the first hospitals to offer this procedure to patients in San Bernardino County. To learn more and see if Balloon Sinuplasty is right for you, please call our referral line at 909.806.1552 to make an appointment with a board-certified otolaryngologist.
